1. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday. Might want to avoid drinking too much the 2 to 3 hours before you sleep.
2. Use a loofah in shower everyday and use it to slough away dead skin. Get a back brush too!
3. Exfoliate once or twice a week with a suitable body scrub to get rid of dead skin that can leave our skin looking dull.
4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Remember this, as soon as our skin looks dehydrated, it looks lined and old. So just as we will moisturize our face, we should moisturize our skin everywhere too.
5. Just be careful to pick the more lightweight body moisturizers if you live in tropical countries like Malaysia. A good tip is to apply body moisturizer right after our shower as our damp body can ensure that the moisturizer is fully absorbed and sealed in. It is worth investing in body creams and lotions packed with oils and vitamins as they will help penetrate deeper into our skin. Don't forget your elbows and knees too, as dry skin can show up really obviously in these areas.
6. A quality hand-and-nail cream and a foot cream are good buys. Alternatively, you can stick to body butter or coconut oil. This is especially important if you work in a fully air-conditioned environment and if you sleep with the AC at night.
7. We cannot stress enough on the importance of sun protection, so yes, be sure you're covered! Not just your face, other exposed areas like your neck and arms too. Many people neglect sun protection on the hands and neck, but signs of aging are actually most visible on these body parts!
8. A balanced and healthy diet is key to a beautiful body and complexion. Avoid heavily processed food and go for natural, organic food if you can and note to include food that will give you the necessary vitamins and nutrients. A regular detox program will also help to rid our body of toxins and other unwanted elements.
9. Lastly, the insides count too! So be happy, laugh often and be confident!
